Richard Turner, General Manager, EMEA Verticals Business Unit for Sylvania, says: “Museums and galleries are unique spaces where people are able to explore artefacts and collections for inspiration, learning and enjoyment from all corners of our world and some from beyond. They are institutions that collect, safeguard and make accessible both ancient and youthful works in trust for society. Lighting plays a key role in creating these evocative environments and the new Concord Tide by Sylvania does just that.
“The innovative range delivers clean, crisp lines of light and is the ideal choice for creating subtle ambient light and wall-washing effects in museum and gallery settings. It has the ability to give a dull, emotionless object personality just by the touch of a button or the flick of a switch. Tide doesn’t just emit light, it emits life.”
There are three ways the Concord Tide can be represented; Symmetric for subtle ambient lighting around perimeters, Asymmetric for vertical illuminance and wall-washing, and Double Asymmetric for corridor applications where both sides need to be lit. Additionally, Concord Tide is available as a non-dimmable solution as standard or as a DALI dimmable version for those who want to create varying looks and ambiences.
Available in 3000K and 4000K colour temperatures, Concord Tide has a lumen output up to 2000lm at 75lm/W for the high efficiency version or 2600lm at 66lm/W for the high output model. Concord Tide can also stand the test of time with a long lifetime of around 60,000 hours at 70% of the original output. Concord Tide has a fixed length of 600mm and its size allows it to blend seamlessly into its surroundings forming a perfect partnership between light and architectural design.
