The company were commissioned to replace the windows and doors as part of a large renovation project in the Cotswolds.
The existing windows didn’t suit the style of the property, so the customer wanted to restore them to be more period appropriate. The new windows and doors also needed to be energy efficient, helping to reduce heating costs.
The enquiry was assigned to one of The Sash Window Workshop’s sales surveyors who sent across examples of how different styles of sash windows would look like on the property. After discussing with the customer, the customer decided that they would prefer 6 over 6 sash windows and a quote was sent across.
The new windows and doors were quoted to be double glazed and draught proofed, to improve energy efficiency, and made in Accoya, which comes with a 50-year anti-rot guarantee. The customer also wanted them to be finished in a bespoke semi-gloss paint.
As the work needed to coincide with other renovation work being carried out at the property, the work was split across several orders, with installations taking place between and February 2021 and February 2022.
The windows and doors were manufactured to their exact requirements by The Sash Window Workshop’s expert craftsmen in Bracknell, Berkshire, before being installed by the company’s fitters.
In total, 1 new casement window and 2 new French doors were replaced, along with 24 sets of new sashes into the existing window frames.
After completing the work, the customer noted that they would recommend The Sash Window Workshop and commented that the product and service “could not be better – first class”.
