Arranged over two floors, the RB12 design space showcases a variety of design pieces for every area of the home - including bathroom and bedroom furniture, living room accessories, kitchen items from functional appliances to tiles, and stylish pieces for outdoor spaces. A working kitchen will serve coffee and light bites throughout the day.
RB12 will collaborate with brands including Minacciolo (Made in Italy kitchens and furniture); mosaic tile specialist BottegaNove; ethically made rug brand Armadillo & Co; Czech lighting brand Brokis; hardwood experts Corà; Portuguese stone artisans Maami; spaces for kids and teems by Nidi; graphic floor and wall tiles with Ornamenta; high-end bathroom furnishings Rexa Design; Rina Menardi ceramics, and others. London-based social enterprise Chrom-Art displays a selection of art pieces in the showroom that are available to buy.
RB12 was founded by Dean Louw and Rafael Borrego, who have worked together on a number of highend property development and interior design projects since 2012. They are joined by third founding partner Giulia Minacciolo, an export manager for Minacciolo kitchens and furniture, who brings her manufacturing and commercial know-how to the table.
With backgrounds in development, design and manufacturing, the founders of RB12 understand the need to source inspirational and customisable high-quality design pieces. This has informed their drive to create a space to showcase and appreciate the detail and workmanship of these products. In addition, RB12 offers in-house services including product procurement, interior design, architectural planning and project management for both commercial and residential sectors, and is able to undertake and support projects of all sizes.
RB12 is open by appointment only before it opens to the public on 5 March 2018, making it the first business to take up residence in the new Shoreditch Village development in east London. RB12 is located adjacent to the CitizenM Shoreditch Hotel. Shoreditch Village is a 150,000 sq ft mixed-use and public realm scheme at the heart of the capital’s creative quarter. The development will create a significant new public space which restores lost neighbourhood connections and enhances the area as one of London’s key destinations with a vibrant mix of public, retail, café, restaurant, residential and commercial space.
