Meliora Interiors Specify Rotpunkt for Whole House Project

Rotpunkt, leading designer and manufacturer of climate friendly German Kitchen furniture is selected by luxury KBB design studio, Meliora Interiors to deliver a whole house project for a contemporary new build property in the South Yorkshire countryside.

Leading designers at Meliora, Leon and Kelly Roden, have always been passionate about creating unique spaces to support their clients’ needs and lifestyles, so they were thrilled to update the ground floor of this busy family and cater to their love of entertaining at home!

Kelly Roden, Showroom Manager at Meliora Interiors says, “Working on this project was a dream come true as many of our clients have their own personal style and this was no exception. From the outset we knew they wanted to create a forever home built for entertaining, while being sensitive to the needs of the home with practical storage and creation of new areas like a home bar, galley-style pantry and signature utility room to support the main kitchen. We knew the versatility of Rotpunkt’s climate friendly furniture would bring this scheme to life as it provides us with the freedom to specify different heights and widths in a comprehensive range of styles, finishes and door colours.”

Rotpunkt’s Mikron MX matt lacquered shaker doors with modern 70mm wide frame and flat centre panels in Black are used throughout the kitchen with brass bar handles adding extra design flair. Rotpunkt’s Luxio LX furniture forms the custom home bar, with Iron KQ in the utility room and Split Oak and metal in the walk-in pantry.

Discover how Meliora Interiors transformed this vacant ground floor space into a family home below:

KITCHEN: The custom Mikron island unit seats six in comfort making it ideal for family feasts and parties with durable Lapitec Solid Surfaces throughout the kitchen and bar. Integrated appliances add to the practical feel with Fisher & Paykel twin ovens, induction hob and teppanyaki hob, dishwasher, tall integrated fridge-freezer, and an under the counter wine cooler in the home bar. The wet zone has a Quooker boiling water tap paired with a 1.5 bowl undermount stainless steel sink in a gold finish underlining the clients’ focus on personal style and maximum utility.

WALK-IN PANTRY: Affectionately called Narnia by the client, the pantry is next to the main kitchen for ultimate convenience with floor-to-ceiling access doors. The integrated lighting in the pantry makes it easy for the homeowner to keep track of store cupboard staples 24/7 and the combination of Old Split Oak open shelving units with metal handleless drawer boxes, delivers superb open and closed storage in style!

HOME BAR: Black Luxio LX furniture is used in the home bar area, which is independent by design yet still within easy reach of the main kitchen and dining space. Designed-in details include a mirrored splashback, custom shelving and ample room for glass-hanging racks so that guests can enjoy aperitifs and cocktails served up in style with the right glass to complement the delicious flavours of every round of drinks!

UTILITY ROOM: The utility room features Rotpunkt Iron KQ furniture in Carbon finish on 1x H2340mm Tall Units with interior solutions, Washer Dryer custom housing with 2x overhead units & 4x base drawers. Pair your tall laundry units with a combi furniture solution for a washing machine and dryer, specially designed at an ergonomic working height for ease of use. This empowers a clear separation of tasks enhancing home hygiene and cleanliness and even better, the streamlined units bring you extra peace and quiet.

Matt Phillips, Head of UK Operations, Rotpunkt says, “Embracing the power of possibilities is at the heart of our mission to support designers and homeowners to create living spaces that support both home and lifestyle. I particularly like the utility and laundry space, which makes great use of an empty corridor and want to take this opportunity to applaud the talent and level of design creativity at Meliora Interiors... what a great project!”

Rotpunkt kitchens are priced from £17,500+vat, and this particular project cost £65,000+vat: furniture only. Designed and installed by Leon and Kelly Roden at Meliora Interiors (Rotpunkt retailer)
