In the first episode Jon is joined by Oliver Heath, expert in sustainable architecture and interior design, to explore the balance between sustainability and wellbeing as the world recovers from the coronavirus pandemic.
Jon commented: “There is no disputing the fact that climate considerations should be central to the decision-making process of designers and specifiers. We’re delighted Oliver is joining us to kick start this series. He’s the expert when it comes to biophilic design and our connection with nature. But he also has a wealth of experience on sustainability and eco-design. The world has completely changed in the last few months, and more than ever we need to put the wellbeing of people at the centre of design decisions. But how do we do this without compromising on sustainability? Are both issues interdependent? We want this podcast series to inform and entertain our audience, and to help them design with the climate in mind.”
Other guests in the series include eco innovator and author, Mark Shayler in episode two and climate scientist Ella Gilbert in the third edition.
‘Designing with Climate in Mind’ will be released fortnightly with the first episode available now. It will be available across all major podcast providers, including Spotify and Deezer, and listeners can find all available episodes and associated content by visiting the Interface blog.
