The collection of 21 individual designs can be seen here, encompassing traditional looks such as the Espina Classic Oak (below), which has a 660mm x 110mm x 14mm format for easy installation in a herringbone/chevron pattern. The Engineered Flooring Collection includes matt lacquered and oiled finishes, and there are two thicknesses available, 14mm and 11mm. The Oiled finishes are brushed into the surface, which enhances the textural feel of each plank. The Lacquered finishes are smoother, with a contemporary matt finish. These engineered floors have three layers. The top layer is real wood, usually oak. The middle layer is a core board, and the bottom layer is known as the base plank, to add rigidity and stability. The three layers together mean that engineered flooring is very stable, and will not move, bend or warp when exposed to changes in temperature or moisture levels. The top layer can also be sanded if a refresh is required. Flooring Mountain's click-down installation system means that their engineered planks are installed as a floating floor – considered by DIYers and professionals alike to be the most straightforward and efficient method as the planks can be installed over virtually any dry, level, sub-floor. For those unfamiliar with installing flooring the Company provides comprehensive installation guides and support via their online chat, or by email and telephone.
