Located in world -renowned Trafford Centre, Oh You Pretty Things opulent new interior was unveiled in September 23 which coincided with the centre’s 25th birthday celebrations.
Florin Mocanu was the lead interior designer, working closely with Den Living, specialists in fine bespoke furniture, together they designed and installed new bar stools, luxury seating booths and elegant accessories.
“Using ILIV's Burghley faux leather in Misty Rose was a strategic choice for the Oh You Pretty Things Cocktail Bar project. Its contribution to the overall look was substantial, offering a blend of elegance and durability that met our design objectives. The addition of rich green tones with detailed patterns and gold accents created a sophisticated yet dynamic ambiance. This theme of blending patterns and textures was echoed throughout the space, utilizing diverse forms and materials to achieve a cohesive and effective design.”

Leading British fabric designer ILIV was the perfect partner for this project. The designer wanted to create a sumptuous, eye-catching interior using luxurious soft furnishings with an element of elegantly aged comfort. To achieve this the bar stools were upholstered in Saddle, a worn leather-look vinyl in the verdant green Cedar colourway, it is the perfect contrast, for the muted pink of Burghley in Misty Rose on the booth seating. This dusty rose hued faux leather is in turn complemented beautifully by the lush flora of ILIV’s Imbali printed fabric collection in Emerald.
The overall appearance and ethos of the design is united by the spectacular floral installations created by the Pretty Picture Company and the vibrant neon signs festooned with florals by Neon Guys. The cocktail bar is located on the first floor of the Trafford Centre in the Orient area, Europe’s largest food court. The Orient’s design pays tribute to Manchester’s Ship Canal history, with marble columns and reflective archways inspired by 1930’s art deco ocean liners and a spectacular cloudy ceiling that changes from pinks at dawn, through to blues in the afternoon and finally to bright stars twinkling at night.
