Mit Mat Mama receives store refresh
Architect, Román Izquierdo Bouldstridge, was commissioned to design a store front for maternity brand, Mit Mat Mama. Inspired by the feeling of walking through the pathways of the forest in the cemetery of Koyasan, the main concept was to create an atmosphere where products and architecture came together in a harmonious nature, filled with plants and natural light to improve the retail experience for Mit Mat Mama’s customers.

The evolution of the porter's chair
The porter’s chair dates back to the Middle Ages of Medieval England. Produced of high-grade leather and red velvet, these chairs were designed with gatekeepers in mind. Over the years these chairs have retained their original form, however, many have received numerous contemporary transformations to keep up with modern-day interior aesthetics.

Exploring the mind of Interior Designer Karen Howes
Moving to London at the age of 18 Interior Designer, Karen Howes shared a flat with Martin Waller, the founder of interior design agency Andrew Martin. Martin has been an inspiration to Karen and mentored her throughout her career. Today, Karen Howes is at the helm of interior design firm, Taylor Howes, which works with cosmopolitan individuals.
Royal warrant holder, Brintons, has been awarded with the prestigious Woven Carpet Design Installation of the Year Award from The Campaign for Wool’s International Wool Carpet and Rug Awards 2016. This achievement was awarded for Brintons’ art deco inspired installation at the late night, iconic venue Quaglino’s.
Glamorous, homely and childproof family home
Stuart Sharpless, Founder of high-end furniture company Decorus, was approached with a brief to create a glamorous, yet homely, look for a family of three. The team overcame the challenge of incorporating glamorous, lavish furniture that fit in with the client’s brief of being childproof by eliminating sharp edges and anchoring pieces against the wall.
China Tang, located within London’s prestigious Dorchester Hotel, has benefited from a luxurious panoramic piece of artwork that adorns the walls of Sir David Tang’s eatery and reception area. The intricate, hand-painted artwork involved the skills of 18 artists and required a total of 2000 hours of hand-painting.
Farfetch’s brand new innovative London headquarters
Ian and Fiona Livingston, the Co-Founders of design practice Studiofibre, were approached by pioneering fashion brand, Farfetch, to create a global design language for its London offices. The result, a luxury office that unites all spaces and reflects the brand’s ethos.
Bisca’s Mackintosh-inspired staircase
This staircase, constructed from English oak and low-iron glass, takes pride of place in the entrance lobby of a new build in West Yorkshire. The property, which shares elements of Mackintosh design, has been enhanced with this staircase sharing the elements found throughout the new build whilst maintaining the establishment’s Yorkshire integrity.
