Shalini Misra has been creating and designing spaces since she founded her London-based architecture and interior design company, Shalini Misra Limited, in 1996. With an extensive portfolio of both residential and commercial projects, the studio has worked on developments in some of the most luxurious addresses in London, as well as locations including in New York, Dubai, and Delhi.
The partnership with Asprey marks a new phase in the studio’s history and offers an opportunity for Shalini Misra to bring its distinctively elegant and characterful style to Britain’s most iconic luxury brand, with its exceptional presentation of handmade homeware created in sterling silver, china, and crystal. Founded in 1781, the company was originally based in Surrey, before moving to its current New Bond Street premises. Its early speciality was dressing cases, for which it was awarded both a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria and a gold medal at the International Exhibition in 1862. Today it continues to offer this unparalleled level of design, with a product mix including Silver, Crystal, China, Leather, Jewellery, and Timepieces.
Speaking of the collaboration, Shalini Misra commented: “I am delighted to announce the upcoming partnership with Asprey. I have long admired its commitment to craftsmanship and the bespoke approach it takes to its commissions. With our shared core values of quality, refinement, and innovation, it is a natural partnership and one we can continue to build upon in the future.”
John Rigas, Chairman of Asprey also commented “Asprey is very pleased to be partnering with Shalini Misra to offer a new interior design service to our clients, we have long been admirers of the studio’s style and accomplishments and we are pleased to recommend Shalini Misra interiors to our clientele. We believe that there is great scope to work together and utilise our in-house craftsmen and Bond Street workshops to execute projects in a unique innovative manner".
The partnership was launched in December in a private event at Asprey’s New Bond Street store. Shalini Misra’s first project with the brand will be the development of a luxurious residential home based in London’s St John’s Wood. Further details of the collaboration will be announced in the early 2018.
