At Stiltz Homelifts we recognise the importance of building close working relationships with independent, accessible design specialists. Not only does it help us develop a clearer understanding of the ever-changing market when we share ideas, but it ultimately leads to better lifestyle choices for our customers. We are at the vanguard of next generation domestic lifts with our contemporary designs, which are aimed at senior individuals who appreciate a sense of style. Future-proofing your home with a Stiltz Homelift allows you to age in place without having to worry about using the stairs or compromising on the personal style of your home. Gilly Craft is at the forefront of this concept and with a background in both residential and healthcare settings, is the perfect choice to offer up advice and direction about inclusive and multi-generational living.
Gilly established Koubou back in 2004 and, alongside having an award-winning portfolio, she has also held the prestigious post of President of the British Institute of Interior Design. However, what really sets Gilly apart for us at Stiltz, is the creative and contemporary work she carries out in the field of assisted living in the home. This work evolved as a result of a design project undertaken many years ago at an NHS hospital. Her efforts garnered interest which resulted in a private health sector commission. A move into the residential market was an obvious next step where she is now very much a leading exponent of the growing adapted homes sector.
Gilly is delighted to be partnering with Stiltz Homelifts, “Assisted living products are part of my everyday working life and I need them to not only be the best on the market but have that very special ‘something’ for my clients. I know Stiltz Homelifts can provide this and their teams will deliver a premium service at every touchpoint. My clients are beginning to understand that homelifts are a great and contemporary way forward in resolving mobility issues and it’s very exciting as more seniors come to realise this.”
“The concept of future-proofing is something that is just coming into peoples’ consciousness,” she says. “But once clients have done their own research and can understand the possibilities, then they instantly understand and are onboard with the idea,” adds Gilly. “Preconceptions relating to staying in your home when mobility starts to become a challenge is that it’s going to be a huge amount of work to reconfigure the home. But in reality, it’s about looking carefully at the right adaptations, such as homelifts and then the process becomes extremely simple.”
Yola Mealing, Head of Marketing at Stiltz Homelifts, adds: “Gilly is an ideal partner for Stiltz to be working alongside as her experience in both the residential and healthcare sectors is invaluable. She intuitively understands the importance of making sure strong aesthetics balances with functionality and this is an ethos which sits perfectly alongside ours here at Stiltz Homelifts.
We believe Gilly and the pioneering solutions she creates with Koubou will complement the Stiltz Homelift vision. She is as excited as we are for the future of assisted living for all, but especially for discerning homeowners who are passionate about maintaining the style integrity of their homes."
